January 11, 2009 the BOC (Betterment of the Community) met for the first time this year. Those in attendance discussed such things as our next scheduled Community Event. The annual Bake Sale that will be held February 14, 2009 at the Community Center (School Cafeteria) between 9a.m. and 12N.Other items discussed included the Community Garden, future Community Events and the structure the BOC will form as more members are added.
The Community Garden meeting will be held in the Wisram Community Church kitchen at 2 p.m. January 18, 2009 after coming together at the garden site on Highway 14 frontage road for a quick look around. Be thinking about what you want to plant and garden layout. We welcome your input and would like to invite any interested person to join us.
The next BOC Meeting will be held in the Wishram Community Church kitchen February 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. At that time we will be deciding the specifics of the Bake Sale and discussing future events. Be thinking of activities you would like our community to do in the upcoming year and attend so that your voice can be heard.
