Awana Derby Cars

February 7 and 14 the kids and their sponsors put together and painted the Derby Cars for Awanas, the race will be February 28, 2009 at the Calvary Baptist Church in The Dalles, beginning at 8 a.m.

As evidenced by these photos, the kids, both young and old had a blast making the cars.

These cars are sharp!!!!!!!

Leadership Plenty

Audra Moffett, Charlotte Newton and Rhonda Hargrove have lead 6 (six) sessions of Leadership Plenty so far. They have exceeded the halfway point in this training. We are encouraged by the turnout at these Saturday Meetings.

Leadership Plenty is a program dedicated to identifying and equipping the natural leaders in our community. It is part of the Horizons program to aleviate poverty in our community. This program has followed behind the Study Circles conducted in November and December. We will be moving into the next phase of the Horizons program at the end of Leadership Plenty.
